Sponsor Rapid7 is providing a Metasploit Pro Class given by
Chris Godoy, C|EH
Senior Consultant | Security Solutions
This session is geared towards those interested in learning about Metasploit, specifically how to use the commercial grade versions of Metasploit – Express and Pro, to enhance their security posture. A basic understanding of Metasploit is recommended, but not required. During this session, we will cover Metasploit basics, provide an introduction to the concept of Metasploit with a GUI, and then walk through several different scenarios of how those interested in ensuring security can go about testing their systems for legitimate, egregious risks present within their IT environment. Various phases involved in ethical hacking will be covered, and also explained for the security admin who is more interested in validating the risk associated with discovered vulnerabilities, as opposed to running actual penetration tests. Attendees will have the opportunity to download a pre-configured VM with Metasploit already installed on it prior to the training session, as well as several vulnerable targets to be attacked during the session. These VM’s will be in VMDK format, to be utilized with VMware Workstation/Player.
