Pros V Joes Cyber Range Live Attack/Defense
Pros V Joes (PvJ) brings a live, staffed attack/defense cyber range to BSidesDE. Blue Teams (‘Joes’) defend real infrastructure against a live Red Team under the coaching of experienced PvJ Staff (‘Pros’). It’s hands-on, high-pressure, and built to teach — Joes leave having actually defended a network under fire, not just watched a slide deck. PvJ has run this format across multiple BSides events, including every BSDE since 2012

Radio Frequency Capture the Flag
RF Hackers Sanctuary is a group of all volunteers with expertise in radio security and various other related fields. We are the original creators of the WiFi Capture the Flag, Wireless Capture the Flag, and RF Capture the Flag. We are the original founders of the WiFi Village, Wireless Village, and RF Village. Often imitated, never duplicated, but you can have our source code for free.
In this game capture the flag you will be presented with real configurations of real wireless and radio technologies to attack. Practice your skill and learn new ones from Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) through Software Defined Radio (SDR) and up to Bluetooth and WiFi. There may even be Infrared, if you have the eye for it.

Quantum Village
Quantum Village is returning for its second year at BSides DE! Explore how quantum technologies are reshaping cryptography and the future of secure systems through hands-on quantum hardware demos; we host approachable technical discussions, have some intriguing quantum challenges in our CTF, and conversations with people working at the bleeding edge of quantum technologies and security. We will be running a mini Quantum Capture The Flag (Q-CTF), as well as a ‘build your own Quantum Random Number Generator’ session.
Whether you’re already fluent in the ways of the qubit, or are just wondering why everyone keeps talking about “post-quantum,” QV is the place to make the topic practical, accessible, and just a little bit fun.

“Bricks in the Air” – A Hands-On Aerospace Cybersecurity Experience
Bricks in the Air is an engaging, interactive activity hosted by the Aerospace Village, designed to teach participants the fundamentals of low-level aerospace communication protocols. In this immersive experience, participants learn how to inject custom commands into avionics systems, mirroring real-world cybersecurity challenges in aviation. The commands issued are then reflected in real-time on a connected Lego aircraft, offering a tangible and visual demonstration of how cybersecurity vulnerabilities can affect aerospace systems. By combining theory with practical application, Bricks in the Air equips participants with valuable skills in aerospace cybersecurity, problem-solving, and understanding the complexities of modern aviation systems.
Live ADS-B Data Demo – Understanding Vulnerabilities in Aviation Surveillance
The Live ADS-B Data Demo offers participants a real-time display of Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast (ADS-B) signals, commonly used for tracking aircraft position, speed, and other critical flight data. Through this demo, attendees can observe how ADS-B data is transmitted openly and unencrypted, providing an opportunity to discuss the potential vulnerabilities inherent in this widely-used aviation surveillance technology.
By showcasing live ADS-B transmissions, the demo highlights the ease with which anyone with the right equipment can intercept, manipulate, or spoof ADS-B signals. This serves as a valuable conversation starter on the risks posed by these vulnerabilities to aviation safety and security, and how they can be mitigated through better encryption, authentication, and monitoring solutions.

Robot Hacking Village/Live Cyber Range
The Ex Machina Parlor is a community hackerspace in the heart of Philadelphia, we dabble in tinkering, modification and hacking of all sorts of tech. With all of our fun toys we bring hackable robots, drones and a live fire cyber range we can set up on-site. Our robots are low powered home IoT machines, a Unitree Go2 Air and a multi-stack cyber range with burnable infrastructure for the audience to access via our WiFi routers to access the robots and the range.

IoT Village
IoT Village advocates for advancing security in the Internet of Things (IoT) industry through bringing researchers and industry together. IoT Village hosts talks by expert security researchers, interactive hacking labs, live bug hunting in the latest IoT tech, and competitive IoT hacking contests. Over the years IoT Village has served as a platform to showcase and uncover hundreds of new vulnerabilities, giving attendees the opportunity to learn about the most innovative techniques to both hack and secure IoT. IoT Village is organized by security consulting and research firm, Independent Security Evaluators (ISE).
The Recovery Partition: A Mental health village
Self-Care matters no matter what profession, we want to have a relaxing space and talks to help individuals to decompress and gain a knowledgeable understanding of how to help themselves combat stress and everyday burnout for a brighter outcome and give insight into resources to help themselves and others overcome today’s mental challenges.

HIPAA is not just a checkbox, and all employees need to understand how they fit into helping stay HIPAA compliant, not just the IT folks.
There will also be ongoing self-care activities for this village during the conference including board games, card games, Legos, Lincoln Logs, Nintendo Entertainment System, Coloring, Reading, puzzles, VR self-care stations and MORE.

SpawnCamp encourages parents to bring their Spawn and let those Hacklings learn about programming, hardware, and how to build, break, and explore!
